Small hole EDM is a process in which electricity travels through a metallic electrode as small as .005" eroding away material as deionized water flushes away burned particles. Like wire EDM, with small hole EDM drilling, no physical contact occurs between the electrode and the work piece. The result is a very fine finish with extreme accuracy that requires no additional work for a smooth, straight, surface that is virtually burr free.
